The Exo-Chamber is an intelligent, architectural extension of your outdoor environment. Its precision motorized louvered roof gives you direct control over shade, ventilation, and weather protection. Open the louvers for sunlight and ventilation, or close them to form an interlocking canopy.

By partnering directly with architectural shade manufacturers and operating on a direct-to-consumer model, BoxUnboxed eliminates multi-tier distributor markups and showroom overhead. You receive commercial-grade, wind-tested 6063-T6 aluminum outdoor architecture freighted directly to your property.

• Precision Motorized Louvers: Motorized interlocking louvers adjust to control sunlight and ventilation. Open for sunlight and ventilation, or close the louvers to form an interlocking canopy.
• Integrated LED Lighting System: Integrated LED lighting is included.
• 6063-T6 Aluminum Frame: Powder-coated finish. Medium and Heavy-Duty frames are structurally rated for Level 12 high winds (up to 180 km/h with blades closed) and heavy snow loads (140–150 kg/m²) per manufacturer specifications.

Customize Your Outdoor Space

The Exo-Chamber can be configured with optional additions to extend its enclosure, comfort, and year-round usability. The following options may be requested at time of order or as part of a custom configuration quote:

• Motorized Outdoor Screens — Motorized outdoor screens are available as an optional addition. Three-screen and four-screen configurations are available. Screen fabric is described as having 95% openness; screens are rated to withstand Level 12 winds (up to 108 km/h).
• Glass Doors — Available by custom order.
• Shutters — Available by custom order.
• Other Custom Configurations — Additional enclosure and architectural options may be available depending on project requirements.

Please note: motorized screens, glass doors, shutters, and other custom additions are not included in the base system price. These options may change the project price and will require a custom quote. Contact us before placing your order to discuss your configuration.

Custom Sizes

Custom dimensions are available by quote. Custom orders may require additional production time beyond the standard estimated lead time. Your estimated production and delivery timeframe will be provided with your custom quote before you place your order. Delivery & Installation

Delivery: The Exo-Chamber is delivered as a complete wooden-crated kit via DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) ocean freight, door-to-door to your property/driveway. For standard-size orders, transit time is approximately 30 days from shipment. Custom-size timing is provided with your quote. You will receive tracking and status updates throughout.

Installation: Installation is not included in the product price. BoxUnboxed does not charge an installation fee. Customers may use their own qualified installer. If needed, BoxUnboxed can connect you with an installation professional who will assess your project, provide a separate quote, and contract directly with you.

Building Permits & Approvals

Permit requirements vary by city, county, property, and project. The customer is responsible for determining whether a building permit, HOA approval, zoning approval, inspection, or other authorization is required and for obtaining any required approvals.

Our installation provider does not obtain building permits on the customer's behalf.

Before placing your order, we strongly recommend confirming your local permit and approval requirements and confirming that the proposed pergola can be approved for your property. BoxUnboxed can provide available product specifications and documentation needed to support the permitting process.

Because this pergola is made to order and requires production and freight transportation, customers should begin the permitting process promptly and allow sufficient time for required approvals before installation.

The Made-to-Order & Freight Delivery Process

Each Exo-Chamber is made to order on a direct-factory model:

1. Dimension Verification: We coordinate with you to confirm the footprint aligns with your space and project requirements.
2. Secure Manufacturing: A 50% manufacturing deposit is due at checkout to begin the applicable production process. We will review cancellation requests based on the applicable order stage and terms. Please review the Refund & Return Policy for the existing stage-based cancellation terms.
3. Direct Freight & Delivery: Your crated kit ships via ocean freight DDP to your property. The remaining 50% balance is due before shipment. For standard-size orders, estimated transit: approximately 30 days. Custom-size timing is provided with your quote.
